This isn't a technology problem, it's a human problem, and the best (and maybe only) way to solve it is through a little empathy. Ideas in an article you disagree with are easy to dismiss, less so with ideas in a human. When you surround yourself with a diverse group of people with differing views on a variety of subjects and actually listen to them, the problem goes away.
