When a baby is born in CA, do the parents have a choice, as to whether or not the blood sample is collected?
- gojomo 13y agoMy understanding, from the 2nd link I included and other sources, is that parents can opt-out if they are insistent beforehand, and claim a religious exemption in writing. But they aren't specifically informed and asked before the blood sample is taken.
