  That's incredibly condescending and uncalled for. I would say "this doesn't belong on hn" but in fact, you shouldn't make fun of anyone, ever.

    Much social bonding is accomplished by gently making fun of one another. If you strip that out, you lose a valuable social tool.

      My comment may also have been a little rushed :) Making fun of someone using 'r' for "are" by harping on a relationship problem that obviously still hurts is kinda out of line though.
