I sincerely can't see anyone paying for this service. Sure you're solving a problem for tech people but you're not solving any problem for recruiters, the people you want to actually pay for the service.
- mikewash 13y agoThis solution is born out of frustrating of constantly being spammed by recruiters. If you have this as the only email address they can contact you at and you enforce it they will have no choice but to bend to that.
- Peroni 13y agoThat concept only works if the majority if tech professionals use the service.
- mikewash 13y agoWell to reveal more of the strategy behind that, my team and I are tackling the DMV area first. The recruiters are pretty aggressive with contacting professionals in this area. The developers have developed a blindness to these type of emails. The theory is if we create a pay wall only serious inquiries will pass through and create better response rates to recruiters from tech professionals.
- devinpartlow 13y agoYes this is exact problem I see in this idea. But at the same time don't recruiters already pay $1500/mo to merely call/email passive professionals on sites like Dice and Monster with no results? Maybe this site needs to place emphasis on the problem of getting experienced professionals. Monster and Dice don't help at all when it comes to getting passive professionals.
- Peroni 13y agoRecruiters don't. Recruitment companies do. Companies that are notoriously slow adopters. They rarely shell out for niche services.
- devinpartlow 13y agoAlso very true. These guys will definitely have to pound the payment to drum up staffing agency business.
