Is it possible to have multiple instances of the same app running in Docker containers and having readonly access to a "global" memory linked file? What I'm trying to achieve is having sand-boxed consumers having access to some shared resource.
- julien421 13y agoHave you try to use the mount option/instruction to do so?
- T-zex 13y agoHaven't tried anything yet. Just wondering if this is an idiomatic use case to grant container access to global resources.
- shykes 13y agoYes, it's idiomatic, but typically you will use shared filesystem access rather than shared memory. By default nothing is shared, and you can specify exceptions using shared directories called "volumes": http://docs.docker.io/en/master/use/working_with_volumes/ http://docs.docker.io/en/master/use/working_with_volumes/
- alexlarsson 13y agoUse the volumes feature to share a filesystem between multiple containers
