What was the event in April causing a spike in both searches?
- spamizbad 13y agoUS government shutdown almost happened but was averted by last-minute stop-gap deal (which ultimately resulted in an partial government shutdown months later)
- ISL 13y agoCypriot bank craziness, perhaps? Bitcoin was in one of its bubbly phases at the time.
- EGreg 13y agoUS government shutdown scare. The debt ceiling crisis + government shutdown of October may have contributed to bitcoin's rise this time around. Another one looks to be coming up in January / February
