Publisher Business Development: Virool (YC S12)

Virool is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Publisher Development team. Our BD manager will drive Virool’s publisher development strategy and will be integral in strengthening all our publisher relationships and processes. This person will play a major role in the continued expansion of our publisher base, and will be primarily tasked with closing new business that secures access to top-tier publisher inventory. This involves getting into executive decision makers, pitching Virool’s offering, negotiating large-scale buying relationships, as well as growing, building and managing a large book of business within the Virool publisher network. You will be: * Fully responsible for procuring and scaling video inventory sources * Tasked with acquiring, growing and maintaining relationships with major online publishers, portals and ad networks * Called on to negotiate terms and conditions, and contracts and effectively liaise with Legal * Well versed in market-specific conditions, technologies and trends * Responsible for partnership management and strategic development of accounts * An ongoing contributor to building the Virool brand and community About you: * Deep publisher relationships and keen understanding of the online advertising ecosystem, as well as the challenges digital publishers face * Experience in the online video space * 3-5 years in digital advertising (Deal closing, Media Buying, Ad Operations, Account Management…) * Well versed knowledge of data, targeting, re-targeting, audience segmentation, and has done technical implementations with web publishers * Strong understanding of CPM, CPC , CPV, and CPA pricing models * Strong organizational skills, able to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously * A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing or similar area of study * A team player with an entrepreneurial attitude and strong will to succeed * Inherent drive to crush it To apply please e-mail jobs@virool.com with Subject "HN: Publisher Development"
