I don't know about anything like Codecademy for C++, but based on my personal experience learning C++, I'd recommend starting with a solid foundation in C. C is, for beginner intents and purposes, a subset of C++, and understand the concepts of C will make it a lot easier to pick up C++. I'd highly recommend Learn C The Hard Way ( http://c.learncodethehardway.org/book/ http://c.learncodethehardway.org/book/ ). For C++, like Watabou, I really liked C++ Primer Plus, by Prata.
