This is not really surprising when figure the cost to build a comparable PC. When I say comparable, I mean comparable in size, specs, etc. Yes, you can get a big case, discrete gfx card, cpu, and cheap together a machine for about $400, but once you start making a smaller PC, it gets a bit harder to really match what Sony has done. Since the XBone is basically the same machine + kinect sensor, I'm guessing the teardown price is going to be something like $400-450. Neither company is making money on the hardware obviously.
