If it weren't for the extraneous window decoration you end up with. I'm good with using Moom to size and shape my windows on the fly on OSX. I've been relatively happy tiling on Linux though, but customizing keyboard shortcuts gets tedious quickly. The main problem with OSX has been knowing which window is foregrounded, especially with two monitors.
