- coldtea 13y agoPolicemen has meant "a member of a police force", regardless if that person is a man or woman, for ages immemorial. Policeperson, OTOH, is a BS politically correct neologism. (And who says it stops there? One can conceive of cops --men, women, LGBT etc--, not appreciating being identified as "persons" thus protesting the "policeperson" name too). The whole discussion is completely infantile, pedantic and not worthy of HN time.
