Seriously give it a few years. At 4, they'll eat the components when you're not looking. 8 is a much better age to start electronics.

- munificent 13y ago> At 4, they'll eat the components when you're not looking. This is highly dependent on the kid. My experience is that some are "eaters" and take a long time to outgrow it while others just never really get into the mode of learning by mouth.
