- rachelbythebay 13y ago"loc": "37.385999999999996,-122.0838", Did a float creep into the storage system at some point?
- xux 13y agoI find this really disturbing: http://ipinfo.io/recent http://ipinfo.io/recent Might not want to display people's data like that.
- coderholic 13y agoWhat do you mean by "people's" data? It's information about an IP address that is completely public. You could find it by going to ipinfo.io/<any random IP address>, or by using various tools or other websites to look it up.
- matiasb 13y agoI think he's talking about the recent IP list itself.
- joshu 13y agoIt's the recent accesses by those IP addresses as well. Don't be thick.
- coderholic 13y agoIt's a sample of IPs that have recently been looked up, which doesn't necessarily mean that IP visited the site or used the API.
- prawn 13y agoI wouldn't use the service as long as recent look-ups were publicised.
- coderholic 13y ago@prawn (sorry can't reply directly) - interesting, I didn't think this was a big deal at all. Can you explain your reservations? The page is actually only there for SEO purposes, so that google indexes these IPs without me having to go to the trouble of building a site map. If there's genuine concerns or issues with that page then I'll kill it.
- MichaelGG 13y agoWhat's so disturbing about what IPs were looked up on a site? The only way I find that remotely possibly of any interest is perhaps maybe some of those IPs are slightly more prone to having some sort of public unsecured service. (And uses this API/site to find the public IP.) Is there an actual legitimate complaint or worry here?
- corobo 13y agoI wouldn't say disturbing but it's definitely a negative smudge on an otherwise useful service. It just looks like search engine spam really - those sort of ones that appear when you search for an IP address in Google

- coderholic 13y agoThe list of tor IPs is updated every 2 hours from https://www.dan.me.uk/torlist/ https://www.dan.me.uk/torlist/ - presumably you're on that list?
