I've been following this story since the beginning, and here's the part that I'm baffled that people always forget: They're open-sourcing the recipe. That should remove all the accusations of it being a scam. If it's a scam, it will be easily proved such. If there are nutritional problems, they can be fixed, either in the official branch, or in one of the many forks which already exist.
