I have the complete opposite experience. Then again, I only really have my current position as a reference point, and we'd welcome anyone as long as they are competent developers and can communicate well in English. Essentially all meetings, reports, documentation, etc, etc are in English. It's only when there are just native speakers around that we use Swedish.
