I have literally no problems with Eclipse, been using it for years. I use stock Eclipse with the PHP and Team Concert plugins added.
I guess it takes like 15 seconds to start up, but who actually cares about that?
- Joeri 13y agoI used the eclipse-based zend studio for years, was perfectly satisfied using it for all my php projects. Then I tried phpstorm, and i found myself unable to return. The biggest thing for me was that phpstorm made me notice how slow zend studio was, and once i saw it i couldn't stop seeing it. On small projects you don't notice it as much, but all the eclipse-based IDE's i tried ground to a halt on our 500k line php codebase, and phpstorm made me realize this was not an intrinsic aspect of php ide's.
