duplicity is nice, but it doesn't do dedupe. It's also slow. I currently prefer http://liw.fi/obnam/ http://liw.fi/obnam/ which does dedupe and every backup is a snapshot. Only downside is that encrypted backups are broken if you use the latest gpg.
