Does anyone else feel that the recent antics of GCHQ have tarnished the legacy of Bletchley Park's wartime efforts?
- erikig 13y agoI can't say for certain - they'll claim that it was in the effort of doing what's right. One can't help but laugh at the irony that this article is posted alongside "MI5, MI6, and GCHQ chiefs public hearing live on the BBC"
- louthy 13y agoIt just shows we've been up to the same tricks for years ;)
- alextingle 13y agoWell, no. I don't think that spying on Hitler is morally equivalent to indiscriminately spying on your own people.
- adestefan 13y agoWhich is funny because they did indiscriminately spy on their own people while they were busy spying on Hitler.
- alextingle 13y agoReally? Can you elaborate?
- louthy 13y agoThey're not spying on their own people. They're spying on terrorists. Making the world a safer place for every single one of us.
