Agreed. Same story, I also have an 'MBA' (MS in engineering management) and had the same driving force, which was shared by the majority of classmates in my program, which is why I chose it over other school's MBA programs. The author also said we'd find counter examples. I still agree with the author for most MBAs having come out of traditional programs, for MBA holders which do not have an engineering background.
