There is so much stray capacitance around that whole design, let alone the inductance of the leads etc. It would be totally useless for accuracy at the pF level

There is so much stray capacitance around that whole design, let alone the inductance of the leads etc. It would be totally useless for accuracy at the pF level (maybe 'that's the joke'?)
