- spiritplumber 13y agoI'm not sure how, that's the thing. Do I do a video time lapse? It's a bit boring to watch someone NOT being bitten by mosquitos.
- ehsanu1 13y agoPost an explanation + clear diagrams of how it works somewhere, and your process for making the prototype with pictures of it. And details about the cost/parts etc. Then drum up some interest. Get some blogs to write about it, then hopefully bigger media. Works better if you can point out something unusual - eg if you were 15 years old, that would work really well for you here, or if you can put a concrete estimate to the cost/benefit - "Save 100 Lives For $100 With This Anti-Mosquito Shield". Find their angle for them, and you have a better chance. Someone will get a hold of you then. The time-lapse with proof that it works would probably help a lot if you could as well, but details are even better for the skeptics among us.
- spiritplumber 13y agoThanks, I will try to do that. The only unusual thing about me is that I scooped Google once, and they acted weird about it. I'm twice that age though :) Right now I am trying to figure out how to get a proper medical study done that this stuff doesn't affect people.
- mistermann 13y agoCan you explain what it is?
- spiritplumber 13y agoAn antbot attachment that causes mosquitos to stop flying, so they are easy to kill on the ground. I am working on having the antbot also kill the mosquitos without being piloted.
- ehsanu1 13y agoGoogling for "antbot" returns a variety of seemingly unrelated projects. Could you possibly be more specific? But more curious to know the mechanism behind it that causes mosquitos to stop flying. Though I have to say, robotics doesn't seem like the cheapest way to go about killing malaria - though it would be awesome if it turns out to be.
- spiritplumber 13y agoI make the antbot :) www.f3.to if you care. It is a sturdy platform for doing things like shooting bugs with lasers and the battery life is good.
- sebastianconcpt 13y agosounds fun
- sanoli 13y agoIs it related to this by any chance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosquito_laser http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosquito_laser
- spiritplumber 13y agoNot very related. That looks very expensive. Mine is intended to retail for $10 to $20.
- mistermann 13y agoA $20 laser? I'm skeptical.
- spiritplumber 13y agoI will gladly send you a prototype to try (and return the 20 dollars to you if you do not like it). I don't believe in NDAs, so be aware that if you decide to annex the design, I will eat you.
