Canonical and the Ubuntu legion have alienated the rest of the FOSS community. It's a shame to see the distro that introduced many of us to GNU/Linux fall so far. Martin has made the right move for his personal sanity.
- saosebastiao 13y agoCame to say this. As a poor Supply Chain student with a sluggish windows desktop, I installed Ubuntu in my desperation to finish a paper I was writing. It introduced me to the world of Linux, Free Software, and programming in general (starting with R in my first job as a supply chain analyst). I just installed Arch. It pains me to say it, but I can't put up with Ubuntu's "My way or the highway" antics any more. It is a shame.
