Experimental nutrition facts labels based on ratios
- palidanx 13y agoCurrently, I think the nutrition facts label is really hard to understand. What I did is mocked up a couple of labels that might be fop(front of package). What is a little different is the presence of the ratio of sugar to fiber [1] and carb to fiber [2]. The citation for [1] isn't that good, but the discussion on [2] is better. When talking with some oncologists from UCLA, they state that a major concern they have is the low amount of fiber people are consuming and there is some academic literature that more fiber is beneficial. The goal is to encourage people to eat items which are healthier for them by showing different data points on a label. Thoughts or opinions?
