"... for some inexplicable reason the administration decided to make the Center for Medicare and Medicaid services the integration lead for a massive IT project despite the fact that CMS has no experience managing large IT projects"
Time Magazine's "Bitter Pill" article stated Medicare had an IT system that made them more efficient than private health insurance providers. Isn't such a system large enough?
- hga 13y agoDoesn't mean CMS was the integrator for any of the systems it uses, or any really big ones. E.g. I don't rag on CGI Federal as much as some others, because they're responsible for CMS.gov and Medicare.gov, and the latter is more than "good enough for government work" ^_^.
