I deleted my comment after I realized the article was talking about attending grad school, rather than attending university in general, so my comment was talking past the central point and hence didn't apply. I should've made that clear with an edit rather than deleting it, though. It seemed to have no replies when I deleted it (which was three minutes after writing it).
