What is the difference between data that supports a hypothesis and data that defeats a null hypothesis?
- tokenizer 13y agoIMO it's semantics, but the rhetoric and reaching is usually more prevalent. For instance, they're basically saying more leisure time spent on the internet, means less time for everything else. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to see how that sentence is just too simple. Of course it's correct. Any more specific however and it's wrong. A great example is the three assertions in the articles headline. See: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6615835 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6615835
