I agree. Rather than arguing against the data in the study its easy to just use the strawman argument of "but it's paid for by Airbnb so it must be biased." But I will say that I would like to see the actual original data in the study instead of just the numerous blog posts about the study. I did some internet searching and was unable to find the original study, just news articles about it. If we had the original study and we could see the data sources and actual data points then we could have a real discussion about whether or not the study is legitimate.
