This is false.
Profit = Revenue - Costs
Revenue = Demand * Price
Costs = Demand * Variable Costs + Fixed Costs
Thus,
Profit = Demand * Price - Demand * Variable Costs - Fixed Costs
As long as variable costs < price then profit goes down when demand goes down.
