It sounds great, but an OS upgrade shouldn't had been paid in the first place. For instance I would be pretty pissed off to pay to upgrade my phone's software.

It sounds great, but an OS upgrade shouldn't had been paid in the first place. For instance I would be pretty pissed off to pay to upgrade my phone's software. This is just a reminder that computers have become general consumer items.
- meepmorp 13y agoWould you apply that same logic to Windows? Say between 7 and 8?
- viseztrance 13y agoIf they can cope with the UI, absolutely. Computers are a commodity. Personally I know very few people that even upgrade windows. They just buy a new machine (which like their current machine, already comes with windows preinstalled).
- meepmorp 13y agoCompanies often buy Windows upgrades without new hardware. But basically, as long as you hold a license for an OS already, upgrades ought to be free?
