I still don't understand why no mainstream politicians ever get behind decriminalisation or legalisation. BTW, I'm not so sure about decriminalising use. I don't really understand the point. It doesn't meaningfully address most the issues. You still have the market run under the table by criminals. You free up some resources that theoretically get used on treatment (probably of users of still criminalised substances), but you still don't solve the problems arising from the fact that this is a black market. You might even make the market bigger.
