I was under the impression we did that for exactly this case in America but when I searched I found a page saying we only issue two passports in extraordinary circumstances. This might count though.
- unreal37 13y agoChris Guillebeau had two American passports for precisely this purpose. Also, you have to send your actual passport to get some visas and that leaves you without a passport for weeks at a time. So having two helps there too.
