Ask HN: Why doesn't GMail support some kind of "@ reply", as Google Drive does?
Group email threads often contain callouts to individual members for specific action items, while some on the thread get caught up in a thread that sometimes veers off in a direction that doesn't concern them. Seems like an @ reply function that highlights the callout (supported by Google Drive) would completely solve that problem. What am I missing?
