But if they're providing me biased info about a topic I know a lot about, how can I trust them on the topics I know little about? That's exactly the feeling I have about all non-specialist media. All of it, even NYT, BBC, The Economist, and NPR. I know a lot about a few things, and they never can get the details right, or often even the main points right. I still consume the stuff - for entertainment, I guess. It's good to keep in mind that it's at best an approximation of the facts.
