The America Left Behind A journey through a heartland on the slow road to ruin. Could we not use this title? Take the examples of Detroit, New Orleans, Cleveland, Galveston or Atlantic City and many other cities in America and the same could be said. The headline is catchy and I'm not sure if I agree with it. It would be really nice if NYT did a real piece about how American cities are declining and the causes of this and also how we could change it. I guess its easier to study Russia, instead of looking inward.
