I've noticed that when I do accidentally click it, it will actually take a second click to register.

  Yes: at least on the latest version of iOS, the animation delay makes it hard to accidentally click on the button. Not a dark pattern.

    The Store button actually ignores touches for even longer than the animation delay, specifically to avoid accidental presses.
