The problem is these are your pictures, or rather pictures of your baby and now you have no control over them what-so-ever. Facebook owns your baby pictures. Period. If you're fine with that and happy about it - good luck. But it is good that someone is doing just that - stating that your baby pictures posted on Facebook are owned by Facebook and you have absolutely no control over them in the future no matter what.
- scotty79 13y agoYou can't control anything that has been released to the public. Lawyers think they can. People who believe in lawyers thing they can. But they really can't. It's good that people try to raise awareness about the fact that you can't control information you released. I just don't share the 'hide yo kids, hide yo wife' sentiment. All that said, I personally share very little and don't really get why people post things on Facebook.
- LekkoscPiwa 13y agoReleasing to public == posting on Facebook ? true? So, maybe that's the point the blogger is making. Hey, I didn't understand that positing on Facebook is the same thing like releasing to the public. Now, that I thought about it, no, I don't want to release my children pictures to the whole world for the whole of eternity. Sounds reasonable to me.
