I seem to have opted my whole domain (Google Apps) out somehow > Based on your domain's current settings, your name and profile picture will not appear in shared endorsements paired with ads. If your domain administrator changes this in the future, your choice here will be honored. https://plus.google.com/settings/endorsements?hl=en https://plus.google.com/settings/endorsements?hl=en though I don't know exactly how. Anybody knows which domain-wide setting is responsible?

My domain is also set like that and it is a fairly fresh google apps account, so it's probably the default.

Perhaps because you don't have Google+ enabled as an available service. I get a similar message and this is the reason in my case.

I have Google+ enabled as a service, and shared ads are still disabled for my domain. It does appear to be the default setting for Apps.
