From my benchmarks, there is a measurable difference between cloud VPS WebSocket latency/bandwidth and dedicated server WebSocket latency/bandwidth.
- tlrobinson 13y agoWith a simple echoing Node.js WebSocket server I'm getting about 50 ms (each way) on Heroku, DotCloud, and Engine Yard. That's probably not much more than the network latency.
