I'm not the most agreeable person in the world. I don't really like being disagreed with and I like to do things my way. I've learnt 2 lessons: I'm not always right and you can agree to disagree. Ask questions such as "How did you reach that decision?". If they can't convince you, calmly give your reasoning behind your decision. Worst comes to worst, agree to disagree and let your line manager make a call. Go with it and learn.
