Good to see Taiwan at #8. Lovely country, safe and very friendly. I have been working here for past 7 years. I wouldn't call it cheapest but hey I come from India. Reminds of a news[1] recently that a USA police officer came to Taiwan and was shocked to learn this "Kaohsiung has a population of more than 2 million people. He was shocked to hear the city only averages about 10 murders a year. When his group visited the city of Taitung — a city with a population of about 250,000 people — they learned the last murder was in 2005."
