- fnordfnordfnord 13y agoNo, jail or other punitive response is not a necessary condition of civil disobedience.
- jessaustin 13y agoDefenders of the status quo really don't get to define this term. Civil disobedience will be, whatever it must be. In a hundred years blowhards on the intermind will compare their political opponents unfavorably with Levison, Snowden, etc. It will be just as ridiculous and unseemly as it is now.
