Yes, Tesla is a car. Never heard of any other car companies losing such a massive amount market capital due to one accident...hell, even the passengers were safe AND the fire was contained to the battery bay. I've seen cars that burn to the ground despite the firewall. If anything, I have a more positive look on Tesla's now than I did before.
