Yes it failed (other incubator). Maybe 7 or 8 months after. I started working at a another startup where I knew one of the cofounders. It was definitely the right choice. Sometimes ideas just take a while to take off and will be ultimately successful. Sometimes ideas are just bad, and you need to kill them and move on. Sunk costs can be a bitch, but you're not getting that time back, so make the most of the future.
