Ask YC: What happened to Scribd's ipaper with Google Ads?

The publishers were over excited by the revenue potential from the news of displaying google ads alongside their docs inside ipaper view ... but i cant see any more info on this, is it been implemented or its still in development mode? It would be nice if ipaper can have client version to read docs offline, the offline version should also check (on regular basis) whether device (PC, iphone, netbook etc.) is connected to the internet, if yes then it should show google ads automatically, increasing revenue potential for publishers. Also is there any other doc format that can display ads in their reading-view mode ?
