If this was 2010 or 2011 or so, you'd have a really good shot, but not near the end of 2013. It's certainly theoretically possible to make a bit of extra money, but I think it's probably much too late in the game to make a serious go of Bitcoin mining for the acquisition of wealth unless you somehow have a free source of electricity and/or hardware. I think the guys who are really going to make some money off of Bitcoin mining going forward are the people who sell the specialized mining rigs.
