Thank you for the breakdown of how performance is affected with the new architecture. I've had a few quibbles about where performance gains would be, and all too often I was told that the performance increases would be solely realized in the larger memory addressing space. That just didn't seem right to me. I really like the use of the otherwise unused space in the 64-bit pointers.
