Why doesn't GitHub make it easier to research or attach an open source license to code?

  I think they make this website to help project owner to pick licenses http://choosealicense.com/ http://choosealicense.com/

  When you create a new repo it allows you to automatically pick a license (and even a initialise a default .gitignore file).
