Yeah, the stock fonts on Fedora look absolutely terrible (especially on the web). To get usable fonts:
1. Install freetype-freeworld from RPM Fusion
2. Get the Microsoft fonts like Arial, Times New Roman, and Verdana
3. Edit your ~/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf to contain the same XML under the section "Subpixel-hinting and Font-smoothing" here: https://wiki.debian.org/Fonts https://wiki.debian.org/Fonts
