- nerfhammer 13y agobanks don't normally use the fed discount window to finance ordinary loan activity.
- ianstallings 13y agoBut they do use it as a reserve that is the basis for said loans. After all, they wouldn't have any money if it didn't come from the Fed, or another central bank, originally.
