The tone of article implied that it is somehow expected that C++/Java developers would come to Go. Well, no - there are choices.
- 59nadir 13y agoThat tone is implied because that's what they thought when they designed the language. He specifically says that exact thing... They were trying to make development of the kind of projects C++ was used for easier and as such it was a reasonable assumption that they would draw users of C++ to Go. He also says it didn't really end up that way and explains why.
